As far as the subject of fish imports into the Britain a lot of UK anglers are against this as it can brings diseases into the waters which can affect other stock. I am unfamiliar of the plan to introduce Carp from Australian waters but can only assume it hasnt happen for the reason just mentioned. I get quite a few visitors to this site so maybe someone will provide you with a better reply.

		<description>Hi, I&#039;m a huge fan of Richard Walker, and I feel privileged to have seen Clarissa at the zoo as a boy.  It was a sight I will never forget, and seeing her has contributed to my obsession with carp ever since.

On the subject of carp being introduced into the UK from foreign waters, what if anything ever happened to the importation of common carp to Britain from the River Murray in South Australia?  I recall it being a front page story in Angling times a few years ago, but I&#039;ve not heard anything about the subject since.  Can you shed any light on that at all?
